Wait! Water? Books? Isn’t that a rather soggy combination? Not this summer! Get ready for your summer reading program! We will be diving into “A is for Activist”, “Handmaid's Tale”, “And Tango Makes Three”, “Parable of the Sower”, and “Julian is a Mermaid”. Set in a library, we meet an upset parent, attempting to ban books left and right. Cue the helpful librarian to guide our inquisitive kids through our five banned books. Why are they banned? What can we do? Why should we read them? Check it out as we create an atmosphere of inclusion while exposing censorship and blazing into our finale of joyful resistance!
